Shabnam Yazdani

Shabnam is a Culinary Manager at The Keg, where she has spent the last 10 years growing from a prep cook to leading a kitchen team. She has always had a passion for cooking, and that passion eventually brought her from an engineering background to culinary school and, ultimately, a career in the kitchen. Her approach to cooking is shaped by her experiences, the flavours she grew up with, and everything she has learned throughout her career. She enjoys taking inspiration from different places and finding her own way of bringing those ideas together on a plate. Shabnam also cares deeply about making more space for women in the kitchen. Coming from a country where women don't always have the same opportunities to speak up or lead, she understands how important support and encouragement can be along the way. She hopes to be that support for other women as they find their own path in the industry.
