
Pricilla Deo
FolkePricilla Deo has worked in the culinary industry for the past 11 years as a Baker and a Pastry Chef. After graduating from the Culinary Institute of Canada in Prince Edward Island, Pricilla returned to Vancouver and worked in both the pastry and bread department at Terra Breads. She then returned to school to attend BCIT and receive a Diploma in Marketing Management with a focus on Entrepreneurship as she knew she would work towards opening her own business in the future. During the summers while she was in school, Pricilla worked at the Queen Charlotte Lodge in the Haida Gwaii as both a Baker and a Pastry Chef. Pricilla then attended Memorial University where she received her Bachelor’s of Business Administration. While she was in Newfoundland, Pricilla worked at the Shaw’s Hotel in PEI as the Pastry Chef and Sous Chef alongside Chef Matt Chandler. She also assisted in opening the Battery Cafe in St John’s. Upon finishing school, Pricilla moved back to Vancouver to pursue an opportunity to be the Pastry Chef at the Tsawwassen Springs Golf Course.
Pricilla is currently the Pastry Chef and Co-Owner of Folke Restaurant. Folke is a vegan restaurant in Kitsilano that serves vegetable-focused share plates.
