Tamam Qanembou-Zobaidi, born and raised in the old city of Jerusalem. Educated at The Red Crescent Society, Jerusalem University. She joined the National Theatre group in Jerusalem as an actress, and hostess for a children television program. In 2006 Tamam joined her husband Sobhi and traveled to Vancouver. In 2012, the two artists opened the first Palestinian restaurant in the lower mainland which grew to become a well-known establishment that introduced Palestinian culture to the people in the lower mainland, and put Palestinian cuisine on the culinary map of the city. In 2019 she joined the culinary program at VCC, Tamam is a passionate chef with a balanced mix of authenticity and creativity.
