Born in Nicaragua but raised in Toronto, Maria Jimenez has been blessed to grow up in a very diverse food culture. Trying different foods and learning about different cultures has always been a central part of her family’s upbringing. This is part of the reason why she’s chosen to work in the food industry.

Tutti Matti

Chef Alida Solomon’s culinary journey began at George Brown Culinary School and has since taken her around the globe—first to Cape Town, South Africa, then to Montechino, Italy, before returning to Toronto to open the acclaimed Tutti Matti.

Tawnya Brant

Yawékon Foods

Chef Tawnya Brant is a Mohawk Nation, Turtle Clan citizen of the Six Nations of the Grand River Territory and the chef-owner of Yawékon Foods, a catering and educational company dedicated to Haudenosaunee traditional and contemporary foodways. She is also the host of One Dish One Spoon on APTN, with season two airing in May 2026.
